Located in the rolling, richly forested Dordogne region of south west France, Le Moulin rests in the natural beauty and warmth of southern Europe.
In this land of a thousand chateaux our doors are open throughout the year to host a diverse range of groups and retreats. 

what we do
Le Moulin is a Buddhist meditation centre practicing Vipassana in the Thai forest tradition.
We run a wide variety of retreats and welcome hundreds of people every year ranging from silent mediation retreats based on the teachings of the Buddha, to Yoga and Tai Chi courses as well other contemorary approaches such as psychotherapeutic  work, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and Non Violent Communication workshops.
To bring your group here is to come into an atmosphere of calm and of  spiritual practice and inquiry.

the location
Le Moulin rests in 4 acres of grounds. Bamboo groves, ornamental gardens and Koi carp pond induce a private and calming atmosphere. The river Auvézère flows alongside the grounds making an irresistible call to swim on hot summer days. Canoe trips and cycle hire are also provided in the village, as well as  a boulangerie and cafés just a few minutes walk away.

surrounding area
The area offers numerous tourist attractions such as the prehistoric caves of Lascaux, castles, equestrian centres and idyllic towns of Sarlat, Brantôme and Montignac. Perigueux, only twenty minutes drive away, is crowned by a twelfth century cathedral surrounded by a warren of medieval alleyways and boutiques inviting exploration.

accommodation
There are two large group spaces. The secluded Japanese style meditation hall (75sqM), nestled amongst large trees and  the  light, spacious main dinning hall  which seats 50.  Accommodation within the main house and a variety of outbuildings is in single or shared rooms for approximately 45 people. All rooms and halls are heated. In  warmer seasons people might like to bring a tent and camp  by the river. WiFi is also available.

Whether your event  is large or small we will  provide high standard meals from our professionally equipped kitchen. Our vegetarian food is mostly organic, some coming form our own gardens and other local producers.  

our prices
You can hire le Moulin in two ways. The first is a basic fee per participant which includes accommodation, breakfast, lunch and  dinner. The second is where you simply hire the venue.
