Getting to Le Moulin We are just outside the village of Cubjac , 120km from Bordeaux International Airport, and 90 minutes from Limoges and Bergerac, each of which have a RyanAir airport. view map From Limoges, Bergerac, Bordeaux or Paris, there are trains to Perigueux, from where you can either take an infrequent local bus, a taxi, or we can usually arrange to collect you for a fee. You need to request a pick-up beforehand. By Plane There are three international airports to chose from. Bordeaux is farthest away but has the most international flights. Limoges airport and Bergerac airport are closer and have flights from Ryanair. Limoges is the best option if you are flying from the UK. From these airports you then need to get to Perigueux - by train is the best option from Limoges and Bordeaux and by bus from Bergerac.
Limoges - Plane and Train Bordeaux - Plane and Train Bergerac - Plane and Bus
Note: We advise to come to Limoges airport rather than to Bergerac, because the transport is much easier from Limoges than from Bergerac - and we cannot arrange pick up from Bergerac airport.
By Train A fantastic new website now exists that integrates all European rail services - see www.seat61.com.
There is a train station in Perigueux (see www.SNCF.fr ). A local line also connects Bordeaux with Perigueux, Limeyrat and Brive la Gaillarde. The nearest (local) station is at the village of Limeyrat. 11 km from Cubjac, it is possible to walk (takes about 2 hours through beautiful countryside). Trains leave regularly and often from Bordeaux St Jean to Perigueux. See below By Taxi about being picked up at the train stations.
Please be aware that all the timetables below are only valid until early July (after this date times may vary slightly so please check your travel using the www.SNCF.fr site which includes track repairs.
If you understand French a bit, the French version of the version is much better for local trains: http://www.ter-sncf.com/aquitaine/index.asp
