Volunteering for Le Moulin

During certain times of the year, people can stay and serve as part of the volunteer team, helping with cooking, gardening, household and administration. Volunteers need a commitment to dharma practice and to living and working in community for 3 to 5 months.

Working here is a practice of service, caring for 20 to 80 visitors on retreat each week, living and working alongside other staff and full time residents.

Volunteers work 6 hours per day, 5 days a week, or 5 hours per day, 6 days a week. There is also time in which you can participate in some of the retreats and events we offer. Volunteers participate in the moulin rhythm of silent mornings outside of retreat times, and commit to 2 meditation sittings per day.

If you are considering volunteering, you should have previous retreat exoperience, at Le Moulin or elsewhere. Volunteer commitment typically runs from early May until the September, but differs each year depending on our schedule.
