Guidelines

Meals

During your stay here, you will be offered 3 healthy and nutritionally balanced vegetarian meals. The main meal of the day is Lunch time with a lighter supper of soup, bread and spreads in the evening time. We endeavour to use organic and fair-trade ingredients as much as possible and are on the road to being 100% organic.

For those who are vegan, wheat, gluten or diary free, or have any other dietary restrictions, we can provide on request a simple diet of steamed vegetables, a simple protein such as lentils, pulses and a simple carbohydrate. We are sorry but we are unable to offer any other more specialised diets.

Hot drinks are available all day.

Meditation and Yoga

We provide meditation mats, cushions, chairs and shawls.

We have enough yoga mats for up to 50 people, however if you use yoga props, you need to bring your own.

Accommodation

We offer a variety of accommodation in single, shared (mostly 2 shared) and dormitory spaces. There is also the option to camp.

All rooms in the main house share two bathrooms and toilets on each floor of the building. There are no en-suites.

The Garden dormitory (women only) has beds for up to 8 people. There is a short walk to the shower and toilet complex, therefore a torch is recommended.

We provide bedding and towels for all rooms. 

Camping

If you go for the camping option, you need to bring your own tent, ground sheet, warm sleeping bag and anything else to make you comfortable. You can put your tent up in the park area next to the river. However as the weather can be changeable, we highly recommend you bring a warm jumper or fleece, even in the summer time.

Those who are camping need to bring a towel.

What to bring

Please bring:

  • Indoor shoes/slippers for the main building
  • Comfortable loose clothing for sitting and walking meditation, and exercise practice
  • Appropriate clothing for cool and hot weather
  • An alarm clock
  • A european power adapter
  • Torch if you are camping or staying in the garden dormitory
  • A towel if you are camping

Arriving and departing

Please arrive between 14h00 and 20h00. See our Travel Information. page to find out details of how to get here.

On your departure day, your room needs to be vacated by 10h00. You are welcome to stay for lunch and we ask that you leave the property by 15h00.
